Construction on this historic 1930's Lyon Village residence began in late winter 2011. Completion is scheduled for mid-fall. The original house is distinguished by an all stone exterior and fronts on a prominent neighborhood corner. A new rear addition will replace the existing circa 1990 Dryvit addition. The new design is layered in two distinct masses. A stone one-story flat roofed wing orients to the corner. The taller sided gable addition steps back to allow the lower stone walls to pass by and enclose it. The final design will be executed in two separate phases. Current Phase I work includes the new rear 2-story addition, with basement. In Phase II existing living spaces will be remodeled. Interior walls will be removed to create an integrated "open plan" design between old and new spaces.
