This modest remodel - addition is subtle and best understood by viewing the below Before / After Plans & Elevations.

The project focused primarily on the rear ground floor kitchen - family area and 2nd floor bedroom. No additional space was added at the ground floor. Walls were modified to improve the kitchen layout and make the family room appear more spacious and connected.

At the 2nd floor, some modest new space was recaptured from the roof. Just enough to transform the existing ad hoc space into a spacious functional bedroom suite.

Rear cross-gables replaced the two smaller existing rear dormers. The opposing gables provide necessary headroom for the new interior space. They also form a visual backdrop to showcase the new rear cantilevered gabled bay.
